My Toshiba flat screen 17" TV is giving up the ghost as the speakers have blown !
I am looking to buy a 12 volt TV which can record to a Hardrive or USB stick. I do have a 12 volt regulator as the Toshiba was a standard 240V/12V domestic model.
Hi not exactley answering your question, but in this van I have many systems, amoung which I have a foehn & hirsch 15" tv and a goodmans 500GB + HD Digital receiver both run on 12 volts or 240 volt mains both work fine.. if I need to use HD tv or record free view programs, I also have a sky + box if I need sky programs (as yet never needed that) I hope someone else might give you some more information on your question.... It runs directly off 12v supply and is LED backlit and so only consumes 2amps. It has dvd and usb record capability (and from what I saw when I tried it it looks as though it would work with a hard drive too).
I only have one of those 'flying saucer' aerials but reception seems to be very good.
Hi been looking for a 12v TV myself. Can any of these TVs mentioned operate as low as 10v like the pricey (but we normally get what we pay for) Vision plus?

After many weeks of looking for a small 16” 12v t v I have finally settled on the Cello. At £159 (ex demo model) I am certainly not disappointed. It does all the things others in this bracket does yet at a much lower price. I would definitely recommend this TV
The new Logik LED range in Currys run from 12V and come from the same factory as the Cello. Also much cheaper than the Cello.

P.S. before anyone says the Cello is made in the UK, it isn't. It is assembled in the UK from parts manufactured in China.

I will also play your own MPEG-2 files from the external HDD.
I am finding this TV OK for the MH, the picture is perfectly acceptable.
My only complaint is that when lying on the couch and looking up at the TV, dark scenes don't display very well and the stand doesn't tilt to overcome this limited viewing angle.
I plan to permanently install the TV on a tilting bracket which will overcome this though.

I've just taken delivery of a Cello 22" LED 12/24/240v TV.
It's simple to set up, has a very good picture and has a reasonable price. It records onto a USB stick (not supplied) and you can also freeze live tv.
My last TV was a Technika from Tesco and I could not pick up Digital TV at home on it, the Cello picks up Digital TV at home perfectly so I presume the tuner is a better bit of kit!
Another advantage for me is that the Cello has a headphone socket with a 3.5 mm jack socket which allows me to connect to my in dash radio and then use the 4 m/home speakers which are obviously better than the small ones in the TV.
The service provided by the people at Cello was also excellent, they deliver next day and you can track the delivery online, they also give you a one hour delivery slot so that you don't have to wait in all day!
