We're thinking of getting the Kyocera 130w panel which I've read good reports of on here. However, when investigating what we need, I think I must be misreading info about our fridge - Dometic 7651L.

I read online concerning the consumption of this fridge: "Energy consumption @amb temp 25°C (kWh/24h) 3.2"

3.2Kw in 24hrs??? Surely not - isn't that 300 amps? How on earth are my 2x110A batteries going to cope with that?

Can someone tell me what I should be putting into my requirements spreadsheet for this fridge?

That to me means about 11 amps per hour on 12 volts.
My 200 watt of panels would maintain my batteries on most clear days and maybe get through the night but realistically it's gas

Surely your fridge will only work on 12V with the engine running not from the leisure batteries. Use gas when mains electric is not available, fridges do not consume much gas.

link to specs here:-

JWW......we have a single 130W Kyocera feeding 2 x 110V leisure batteries and have found that this is perfectly adequate for us. It really frees you from larger sites with electrical hook ups.

You should also consider changing any halogen bulbs for LEDs too.
