Hi
There has been alot of bike rack talk this week, and we are thinking of buing the fiamma pro c for our Bessacar,as we intend to get two electric bikes, Question is on the swift website it says bikeracks unsuitable for rear escape windows.

I am sure i have seen many bike racks on m/h with rear windows, what do you expert think.

We have one fitted on our Bessacarr E530 just below the rear kitchen window. I'd certainly not call the rear window an "escape window" as, even in a dire emergency I doubt we'd be able to climb over the kitchen sink and out through it. I suppose, if the van were on it's side, we could climb through but there are windows on all 4 sides so we have alternatives. We can open the window fully when the bikes are not on the rack but, when they are on the rack, it will only open a crack so perhaps this is what Swift mean....and no-one takes any notice ?

I think it also depends on where the rack can be attached to internally.

Maybe they are referring to the 'Swift Escape' motorhome?
Our Bessacarr E460 has a rear lounge/large rear window and it has a dealer fitted Pro C Bike rack on it.

Thanks you two, i think the pro c would fit if there are fixings,(suitable place).
I too would be hard pushed to squeeze through window, and like most others side windows open and are bigger.
Thans again .
