Just finished installing a Maxview crankup, utilising a Sky Pace Mini 1000. Everything works ok on Scart to Scart BUT -

My MH has a built-in scart socket which goes to an all in one CBE socket with the Yellow/White/Red RCA AV sockets. If I use this I can't get a signal. The TV is an Avtex and I've tried manually selecting source (both AV2 and AV2 just in case) I've also tried it with an old Toshiba and that doesn't receive a signal using the AV sockets either. I've also tried a new Scart to AV lead, bypassing the MH wiring and that doesn't work.

Is there some reason why sat receivers don't give out the correct signal? If so why the built-in wiring?

Any suggestions gratefully received, it's driving me mad

It sounds as though the receiver is set to output RGB from the Scart by default. This is not compatible with your yellow connection. You need to change the Scart output on the receiver to CVBS. There should be a setting in the menu. If you have a second Scart on the receiver (Often marked VCR) this will always default to CVBS, but may not show menu or programme guides.

I'm sure you're on the right lines. I've got a Pace Mini, Model BSKYB1000 (also Javeline?), and i can't see how to change the single scart output. i read somewhere that pressing the TV key will change it from RGB, but it doesn't appear to make any difference. I've also looked in the 'hidden' installation menu and can't find anything there.
