Just returned form visiting Scotland and took a scooter fixed to an Armitage rack. Whilst the rack relys on right angle struts welded to the fixing brackets to support the scooter it seemed to hold out for the journey, although I was concerned the way the bike and stand flexed up and down with the contours of the roads.

It was only on return that I wondered about the insurance side of things as I naturally assumed that if for instance the rack should give at the welds and the bike disappear down the road the bikes insurance would cover it, or would the the mobile homes insurance be used?

I would like to hear from any experiences you have had.
Cheers
Terry

I have an Armatage rack but I have no idea a out Insurance if it fell off. I did phone safeguard to tell them I had fitted it and they said fine. Didn't go Into more detail.

What I will say though is we have had ours for over 3 years in which time we have spent nearly half that time in the van. It's been over the alps several times and all over Europe and it seems pretty solid to me. Good kit
