had trouble with leisure battery
but had new 1 fitted
tester shows 12.48 volts
when engine started goes up slowly to 13.70 v does this mean it is charging or should it be higher

12.45V looks a bit low and I would put an ammeter in the earth (-) line to the battery to see if there is a steady discharge.

sorry m8 just checked again and actually it is 12.65 v
started engine slowly goes up to 13.70 v and would gradually keep going up slowly
does this mean it's charging up ok

Hi Yes that is correct when the alternater is working you should see around 13.8 volts.... quite normal...
