I have a solar panel which charges my leisure battery in a Torbay conversion, what's the best way of keeping my van battery charged, another small panel or can i split the charge from the big panel

My panel charges both batteries. The regulator has two outputs one for each battery.

You can buy kit which sorts out the batteries

http://www.vanbitz.com/product/Battery_Master_BMaster

Or there is a cheaper solution described here

http://www.motts.dsl.pipex.com/BRIDGING%20FUSE.htm

Hope this helps

Mike

Another option is to fit a Batterymaster. This transfers some charge from the leisure battery to the vehicle battery, when the difference is .5volts or more.
This also works when the mains charger is in use, or no charging is taking place.

I'd endorse the battery master solution. I have had 2 x 96Ah leisure batteries plus the van battery being fed by a 130w solar panel for the past 3+ years and the battery master has ensured that we have never had a charging problem
