Hello all,
I'm fed up with cutting fingers whilst trying to clean the roof under the solar panels. Anyone out there got ingenious ways of doing this necessary job?

To get a really good thorough clean underneath my panels, I'm going to have to lift them up to do it. Have been delaying it for some time now. Thanks for reminding me
We've not done it but -I think it is Betterware- sell a long thin flat brush on a long handle that might be suitable. It's designed for cleaning behind domestic radiators.

This is it- not such a long handle as I remember but you could sort that:
It's very simple really....the secret is to wait, and wait and then wait somemore and eventually there is no 'underneath' the solar panels... the dirt will make terrific underlay!
Get a 1 mtr ish length of plastic rope, some old Tshirt material cut into thick stips.
Slightly unwind the rope and poke cloth through, do this a few times and you have a glorified bottle brush, just drag it back and forth until it's clean, water and detergent will of course help, it worked under my panel.
Or try a thick pan scrubber stuck onto a length of plastic conduit lid or similar flat bendy stick, if you can't climb on your roof.
