I use (or try to) this service but over the last two months or so the service has been getting progressively worse. When trying to log on I get this or similar messages:
"There was a problem with the Windows Live Hotmail service (a temporary network connectivity issue that has nothing to do with your computer). Please try again".
I then go through the frustrating process of trying again... & again... etc.
Anyone else use this service & experiencing similar problems?
Is there a cure or do I need to find another e-mail service?
This used to happen very occasionally but has now worsened to the point where it happens every day. At the moment, for instance, it is telling me I have 12 e-mails but I cannot access to read any of them.
I have no problems when trying to access any other websites, etc.
I do have a Hotmail account and somehow I also have a "Windows Live Mail" program on my PC.
I usually only use AOL but somehow I can now open up the Windows Live prog and it downloads most of my AOL mail both sent and received. Handy as a back up but no isea how it came about.

I use Hotmail all the time and the only problem I have since I moved to internet via satellite is that it keeps telling me I have tried to log on too many times with the wrong password, once I log in again and copy those terrible letters/figures it is OK.
Could it be that you have a corrupt cookie? It might help to clear your cookies and start again with new ones, from the history option?
Good luck - computer problems can be very frustrating - once we had set up the satellite account we could not access MHF at all, every other site was OK, just no access for either of us to MHF, it took some detective work to discover we had been inadvertently black-listed...........
I regularly send emails to people who have a @hotmail email account and get back an undeliverable message. Always different people as these are business emails replying to them[U]

I had a lot of problems with Hotmail some years ago, not the least of which was the amount of spam that came through.
I used Yahoo for a few years, but for the past few years, I've used Google mail (Gmail), and love it. I have several accounts, and all work fine (using Thunderbird to access them all).
