Hi,
We have a Eura Mobil 690 HB. I have put this in the self build area as this is an addition I think my hubby might be doing to the camper.....
We would like to insulate the body of the camper away from the drivers cab. As the drivers cab is not heated, we had to lay several blankets over the curtains to stop the freezing draughts coming through (this was in the depths of winter in France).
Does anyone know of a solution - our friends motorhome came with a blind that does a fantastic job of insulating. Does anyone know of a company that can do this sort of thing?

Check out Silver Screens or other similar: http://www.silverscreens.co.uk/

These will retain the heat. In addition tape up the cab door vents and make sure your screen comes with the bit which slips down under the bonnet to close off the heater vents. You really don't need to do much DIY inside, Alan.

You don,t say whether your 690 is an A class or coachbuilt. Euramobil do both although to be fair the A class is called an Integra 690.
Anyway as above plenty of availability of external and internal thermal screens for coachbuilt cab ie Fiat Ducato base vehicle cab. (Some people use both in very cold climate) In addition to the one mentioned by Alan, Taylormade also do thermal screens
However if an A class its a bit more difficult, but Van Comfort do A class screens, I am at present having a set of external screens specifically made to my requirements by them. Very obliging.
Dave

We have a home made dual curtain - blackout on one side, fleece on other and this can hang behind the cab seats. Its velcro'd top/sides/middle and drags on floor.

From outside it means you can't see inside and drivers seat looks normal (ideal for wild camping)

In cold, it keeps the cab cold and the back warm and draft free (up to 15-20'C difference when you put your hand through the curtains!)

In the heat, the cab gets very hot, but the back stays cool.

Its not "air tight" but close, and thus the cab doens't get condensation.

Also, we've made normal curtains that are the same (blackout rear, fleece front) - and these go round existing rail (e.g. around doors/screen) - not air tight as on rail but 50-75% as good as the other ones - ideal for when its not too cold and you want to use the cab seats as part of habitation.

You dont say if you want to use the cab area or shut it off from the rest of the camper when parked up.

I have a Hindermann Thermo Jacket which completely covers the windscreen , bonnet, & driver & passenger doors

supplied by Vancomfort. made to order & supplied direct from the factory in Germany - excellent service!

Silverscreens & Taylormade also sell similar products for some base vehicles but did not sell the complete cover for the Sprinter when I was buying

see also RiverswayLeisure but theirs looks more like a cover than an insulated padded cover

as others have already mentioned - some thick floor length curtains can also be very good at stopping draught's or some blankets pegged in place with cloths pegs or some poppers
