the flyscreen on the back of the habitation door is catching at the bottom when the door is opened. We have only just got this MH and it looks like its been happening over a period of time and has loosened the swivel retaining clip on the back of the door

Has anyone else seen this happen? Has anyone else resolved it?

Thanks for reading

Hi,

Sorry, we don't have a flyscreen on our habitation door (and we are still on our first motorhome, so no previous experience to go on), leaving me without much in the way of constructive advice.

Might a picture help?

Good luck!

Regards,
John

Just for a bump for you although am not sure what you mean do you have any pictures? Mine would never reach the bottom of the door but could be completely different due to different model.

I had the same on my arto door. I believe the problem was due to the L shaped hinge being opened up. The hinge sits on the hinge for the door. Try looking there.

Thanks all. Will try and get some photos. The bottom edge of the screen door catches on the metal kick plate which covers the joint of the edge of the carpet. When the door is open an inch the screen is still in the same position as when the door is closed. Over time this has pulled the screws which hold the plastic toggle holding the screen in place so its no longer able to hold the screen in place. Hope this helps to explain it a little
