On my last laptop with Vista I had a bar across the top of the page that would translate pages into English. I used the translator a lot as many of the sites I look at are not in English.

On my new laptop I have windows 7 and it does not have the option, it does have Alta-vista this will only translate small bits not whole pages automatically.

I assume I can down load the translation bar from somewhere so any help in finding it will be most welcome.

Don

Don,
Not sure what toolbar you were using but in IE9 if you right click on a page then one of the options is to 'Translate with Bing' which will do the job for you. Alternatively you could use the Chrome browser that appears to detect foreign language automatically and offer to translate the page for you.
regards,
Bill

Hi Don

You may have had the "Google" toolbar installed into the browser on you other computer it does lots of "stuff" including translations.

You can get it here:

http://www.google.com/intl/en_uk/toolbar/ie/index.html

It does take up space on the screen and can be quite intrusive.

but you are able to switch it on and off Wink

Mike
