Our sat dish is looking a bit tired and old, just normal wear and tear I guess as it still works perfectly even though some of the paint has flaked off on the edges. The question is, can the dish be spray painted without any ill effects? I don't mean a "Banksy" spray job just a straight forward coat of white paint?

When I was a Radar Technician in the RAF I was often asked "why do they not paint radar dishes silver so that they work better?"

Well the colour or the paint do not effect the performance at all. As long as the dish is still dish shaped and the LNB is aligned correctly you can paint it any colour you like.

As a qualified satellite installer I can also confirm that you can paint it.
I do like the idea of a Banksy style dish though.

I wish they made a non-stick one - could use it as a Wok as well.
