Baza - This will depend on how high the awning rail / Omnistor has been fitted above the top of the door. This is the measurement that you will need answered.

We have one and found them very easy to put up , and Im sure they will clear the door only problem we have had is some of the brass eyeletts for the pegs have come off but they are very cheap to replace.

We never use ours now due to the windblocker shades we got so its up for sale.

I've got a Movelite XL fitted to an Omnistor on my Autotrail.

The "tunnel" to the motorhome will never fit as taut as shown in the linked photo if fitted to the Omnistor, the only way to get it like that is to use guy-lines over the top of the van. Attached to the Omnistor it has a fair amount of play in it. If fitted in the Omnistor although the door can touch the tunnel fabric when fully opened, it's not taut material so will not chafe it...it has slack in it so does no damage. (Not sure I've explained myself very well there, but can't think of a better way of putting it).

NB because it's not taut the tunnel will always flap in the wind a bit. You'll also need a figure-of-8 kit to attach it to the Omnistor.

We've also got sunblockershades....use these in summer, the movelite in colder months.

i have about 3 inches from top of door to the awning slot on the wind out omnistor, which would mean the roof would not have much slope

With just a three inch gap, and a bit of sagging, I cannot see you being able to clear the door very easily Baza. However as Rosbothem says there are no poles in the way so it may not be critical.

You will know the hight to your rail. If you can find out the hight to where the tunnel attaches to the main pod, and how deep the gap between the two (Motorhome to pod attachment), you can then get some idea of the slope and door clearance involved. This will only be a rough guide however and you cannot beat fitting it to see - on the understanding that it can be sent back if it doesn't fit of course.

Thanks for your input
I think that you and Rosbothem are mixing up which awning I was asking about, it is the , Movelite Pro Explore awning as shown in my OP , it does not have a tunnel and pod it is very similar porch to a caravan porch but it has supposedly been designed for a motorhome

The link I put in OP links to quite a few awnings the one I am interested in is the Movelite Pro Explore Motorhome Awning, which is further down page, sorry for being so confusing

Baza - that looks like a nice bit of kit and at a very good price.

Presumably you have to extend the Omnistor first to slide the Movelite into the channel then wind the Omni back in until almost closed?

Cheers

Dave

Yep I quite like it , yes just wind it out till you can reach to slide it in the channel and then wind back in, my only concern is will my hab door open , in the photos on the website the roof looks quite flat ,which would suggest the hab door would open ,but you cant trust photos Confused

Erm, you're right I did misunderstand, sorry, but...

...in my defence the link you gave didn't just go to a page with lots of awnings, it contained a tag that specifically dropped anyone who clicked through onto the picture of the MoveliteXL. I clicked through to see if the one you were asking about was the same as mine, and given the link went directly to a picture of mine, you can understand the confusion....

This link will go directly to the one you're considering:
http://www.campershop.co.uk/motorhome-awnings.htm#movelite_pro_explore

- note the "#" bit at the end...takes the clicker to a specific location on a page.
