Most likely explanation is that the LNB arm is stuck. This happens sometimes when the dish isn't used for a long time, the arm carrying the LNB doesn't unfold completely. Raise the dish fully then pull down on the LNB until the arm hits the stop and is fully down, then test again. If this cures the problem just use some WD40 or similar on the pivot joints - and use it more often in the future. Wink

Hi, I found that the co-ax on a maxview crankup had failed (after 4 years regular use) and to replace it I attached a new length of similar thickness co-ax to the non LNB end by butting them together and then joining with duct tape, then without threading it through the arm and having released the gland nuts I pushed the new end in as far as poss, then pulled the other end out alternately until I had enough to reach the LNB and just taped the cable to the Arm rather than bothering to thread the last bit through. I also experienced the arm sticking but as gaspode says it just needs wd40 and more frequent use.
I hope that you can understand this and it is of help to you
Colin

ps I believe Maxview will replace the cable for you but you will have to remove the dish for them to do it.

I am almost certain that it is the cable as I fitted an other cable to the LMB and it was okay It's just the problem of getting the old cable out but I will try your suggestion.
