Hi again

Gearing up for the first foray into continental touring at the end of March. Trying to get everything in place as far as possible.
I have a flat hose with the standard screw on tap connector. What are the most common connections that are seen in France (initially) and what do I need to take with me.
Do I need a hose outlet for the grey water drain?

Any advice appreciated.

Rgds

Phil

Hi philmccann I used a screw on fitting in Italy, screws onto the spout (same as here 1/2 BSP) push on to the spout in france and a hazelock in france.

I bought mainly brass or good quality plastic fittings, the cheap plastic ones tend to blow off the pipe. Also in france one site had very low pressure and the type of tap which you have to hold down all the time, I put a tie wrap around it took 40 minutes to fill the tank. Very handy tie wraps.

All my fittings end with a hazelock so I can clip the water hose straight on.

Only one site (Marina De venitza) had a motorhome service point you could drive over, so waste hose is essential.

Hi philmccann forgot to say that "The Range" superstores do some nice cheap brass fittings, some of their plastic ones aren't so good through.
