I want to have a satellite dish fitted to my Mh soon and have been looking at the KVH Tracvision R4sl and the Mobilsat 65cm dishes. I really like the KVH one and was going to buy it (not too high for top of HM) but noticed that it does not have twin lnb.

I would like to use my sky box so twin lnb is necessary.

Any recommendations from anyone with regard to choice would be appreciated.

My KVH R 4 has been an excellent choice for me, not much good in lower Spain, 2" of snow creates a problem, not that a brush doesn't solve. Laughing

We have the KVH Tracvision R4SL(SL stands for slimline) and it has been excellent. It has been installed for over 2 years now and had been reliable, always locking on to Astra 2 within 30 seconds, providing there is a clear view of the sky.

It is only a single LNB and not upgradeable but you could go for the R4 which has the twin LNB option. The thing to watch though is the height, the R4 is 38cm compared to the R4SL at 30cm.

Hi Bri

The thing is is that I want to use my box to record 2 progs at once. I like the dome satellites (just think they look tidier) but as pointed out the ones with twin lnb are taller so may not look at pleasing to the eye. (Blame my wife..she is really fussy) Wink

I may have to bite the bullet (or get one from the wife) and get a dish. But if anyone can suggest a slimmer dome with twin lnb that would be great.

The KVH Tracvisions do have twin LNB systems but not in slimline versions

See comparison chart here http://www.outdoorbits.com/kvh-satellite-systems-c-156_11_61_235.html

the choice of twin lnb systems is a bit sparse especially when normal height domes are excluded

Oyster TwinLNB Digital Autoskew

Kathrein CAP910

Crystop also offer a twin lnb option
