Hi all

Hope we are in the right area - not sure whether this subject shouldn't also be under 12v systems and electrical etc.

Houston we have a problem Sad OK - lengthy but this is what is happening!

Our Satellite Dish OR our Digi Box is crashing our 12 volt system in our MotorHome - we are in South of France at the moment.

Having checked and re-checked all that is electrical and finding out that our leisure batts. are showing full charge and the fuse in the charger is fine we could only go back to Square 1. This was the occasional times when our Sat. Dish did NOT go down automatically - as it is meant to do - when we turned the ignition key on.

To cut a long story short, eventually the whole of the 12v system crashed losing all water from our boiler, lights and - obviously - the TV. The Satellite Dish went down on its own too! Only time it did!

We ran the engine to get everything going again and put up the Sat. Dish. Then we put it down, turned off the TV and went to bed.

Overnight we had full power back again and both green lights showing again!

So today we tried it in 'stages'.

The Leisure Battery immediately went down one slice when we put up Sat Dish manually.

Then the top light (vehicle battery) went off when we just turned ignition on (after having unplugged - yes!).

Powered up again. When we turned off TV and put Sat Dish down manually everything went back to FULL within about 15 minutes with both green lights on again also!

How can we retract the Oyster Dish via the ignition again? What could the fault be with it that is causing the 12V light to fail when we turn the ignition on?

We have sent this same message to couple of techies elsewhere on the web. For the last few days we worried that there was yet another problem with our Calira charger - only replace last year.
In a way we are relieved that it is "only the TV"!

Anyone got any bright ideas? - No naughty ones please Wink

Thanks
