I can see it would be quite easy to pinch a free standing dish when in use but stored away it must be reasonably secure, but how secure are roof mounted domes and dishes? Are they easily removed?

Hi Peedee

I don't imagine they are simple to remove, and without their control box they are just a big paperweight, so I doubt if the scrotes would consider them a pinchable item.

ordinarily on their own they are useless as you need the control box below to have a fully functional system so not a huge issue with dome/dish thefts. There will inevitably be some that are stolen and the thief either ends up with a useless chunk of metal and plastic or where it has been stolen to order perhaps for someone who has a defective top unit (v rare i would have thought)

They do get stolen, but they can be protected by incorporationg them into a good alarm motorhome alarm system..Strikeback for example Wink

How do you do that Eddie? Does it involve removal of the dome to fit a sensor?

Could be easier just to replace all the screws with security ones. If they can't get the lid off it's a no go.
