Hi Picking up Peugeot 107 tomorrow which I have bought to tow with the motorhome but I don't know which A frame to have fitted.
I have looked at previous posts on the forum and at 3 websites - Towbars2tow cars, caratow and Chris Cox.
There is a big difference in price from Chris Cox £680 +VAT to towbars2towcars at £1400 +vat.
I am going to Lincoln tomorrow so can look at 2 of the fitters but Chris Cox is not listed as an exhibitor and his website is quite poor so can anyone help me understand the different types of A frame and perhaps some recommendations.
Have had and used a Car-A-Tow for the past 20+ years and am still happy with it.
Ray.

Chris Cox doesn't usually need to go to shows to promote his work, word of mouth from satisfied customers is enough to keep him going.
Speaks for itself doesn't it?
I have had a tow bar and two different cars converted by him. Will go back again next time I need a car converted.
I've got a Chris Cox A frame on my 107 and very pleased with his service and frame, when you go to have frame fitted he takes you in to town and collects you back when finished.(in our case it was only about 2hours). the frame on the car is behind the lower grill with only 2 square blocks showing which are about 1'' square when frames not on.
Thank you for your recommendations.
Could you tell me how the braking system on the Chris Cox frame works? Is it like the braking system on a caravan?
Thanks
The Chis coq uses the heavy caravan type braking system unlike T 2 T, which weighs very little and breaks electronically. A very good system and works really well.
If cost is an issue and you don't mind the A frame weight, the Cox system is also very, Freinds use this one.
One more thing the T 2 T A fame fits in a small boot fine, our Fiat 500 as a small boot.
The Chris Cox brake system is the over run type, he routes a cable from the grill to the brake pedal, he clamps cable to brake pedal and fits plug inside engine bay which he wires in to original lights. He does run wire under edge of bonnet when in use but I've been bringing it under bumper to plug.
