I have the MH on the drive atm and we are using toilet while plumber is in house. We have been using the 12v system just for flushing and hand washing. The last time we used it there was a noise from the fresh water tanks which now runs all the time while the MH is switched on to 12v.
The sound stops when I turn off 12v. I also tried putting it on EHU and having the 12v system on but it's still happening
Anyone got any ideas what I need to try?
Thanks in anticipation

It sounds like the pressure sensitive switch has stuck, it may have failed or may just need a "kick" to free it.....
If you can trace the route from the pump towards the taps/loo flush etc., you should be able to locate it and then see if you can adjust it or whether a tap frees it up. I am not familiar with Dethleffs so cannot give specific advice, but that would be the way my thinking would go.
If it needs replacing it is not a difficult task (on my MH anyway), so good luck,
If you contact Dethleffs by e-mail they will send you an English version of their manual which should explain where things are (says he hopefully...)

Motorhomes generally have one of two types of water system.
1. Each tap has a micro switch fitted into it so that when a tap is operated, the circuit is made and the pump operates. If the pump runs continuously then possibly one of the switches is stuck in the on position.
2. The second type of water system is a pressurised system. With this the pump runs and builds up pressure in the system. Once it reaches a certain level a pressure switch operates and turns the pump off. When you open a tap to draw water the pressure drops, the pressure switch releases and the pump kicks in again. If the pump runs continuously on this type of system then the problem could be...
a. You've run out of water in the tank and the pump is trying to pump fresh air.
b. The pressure switch has gone faulty.
c. The pump has gone faulty and although it's turning isn't pumping anything.
d. You have a leak in the system and the water pressure cannot build up enough to operate the switch.
If you open a tap when the pump is on, do you get a good flow of water? If so that will eliminate a and c.

anyone know how to check between pump and micro switch?
The micro switch maybe built into the pump or could be external to the pump. May be worth googling the pump details to see which it is.
As previously mentioned a sharp tap may release a stuck switch (if you can find where it is). I'd try giving the pump a tap for starters and see if that does anything.
Glad it's sorted. Sounds like you have the first type of system I mentioned where every tap has it's own individual micro switch built into it, which operates the pump as soon as it's turned on (even if it's not open enough to let the water out).
You can ignore all the guff about pressure switches and pump whacking.
