Chicken Livers on a bed of rocket - serves 2 - £3.50 approximately

1 pkt chicken livers
1 pkt bacon
1 onion
Half a tub of creme fraiche
Flour and seasoning#
Rocket salad - alternative pasta

Put the chicken livers in a bowl and coat with seasoned flour. Cut up the bacon. Cut the onion up finely. Gently fry the onion, bacon and chicken livers to your own taste, ie rare/medium/welldone, then add half a tub of creme fraiche. Remove from the heat and serve on the bed of rocket/pasta.

Recently done a day trip to Calais and had a Menu du jour and that was the starter I had. Really lovely - would have been even better if the livers had been cooked a little less though!

No Denise, my culinary skills are solely for my own kitchen. The recipe came from a friend of mine in Spain, so just had to try it, it was lovely, as I did not overcook the livers.
