Hi all. Picked up our first motorhome, a Bustner i821G last Friday. Oh. My. God. What have we done? Both late 50's with a mixture of apprehension, excitement and adventure. Will be looking into this site for loads of information no doubt as I know absolutely nothing motorhomes.

I am told I have started with a very good one though. Five years old with 11k on the clock.

Shocked

Welcome to the club - if you have any questions ask away. There's a wealth of knowledge on here waiting to be tapped. Don't be concerned about asking what might sound like simple questions - we all started at the beginning. Very Happy

Hope it isn't a Bustner though - that doesn't sound too hopeful!! Shocked Laughing Laughing Laughing

Sorry - couldn't help it! Wink

I think that you have made a genuine good move by joining MHF, not for any prissy clubby reason but because motorhomes and what can be done with them could fill an encyclopaedia which would still require daily updates to be of use. That is what we have here as I am sure you will discover.
Places to go? Info is available here.
Things going wrong or not understood? Someone here will have an answer, often within minutes of asking.
Where to get equipment? Same again, someone will know.
I joined two years ago and found help. Then I tried a rally and found friends.
I am even now only just beginning to discover all that goes on in this site which thanks to Nuke and his team, has a life of its own.

Welcome and enjoy all!

Alan

Welcome and enjoy! Very Happy

That initial thrill of going out in the motorhome, whether for a day trip or off abroad for a few weeks, never disappears.

Ask away - I've been motorhoming for well over 20 years now and I still learn something new nearly every day on this forum.

Sometimes there's a bit of barking goes on but only a very few of the regular contributors bite . . . Wink

Good evening and welcome! Now, don't be shy; please tell us your name so we might address you as a 'proper' person. Wink Laughing

I hope you enjoy what you find on MotorhomeFacts. It really is addictive but it's also the source of great help and friendship when needed. I will second what Steve Wakk44 said about subscribing. Subscription will allow access to so much more information, experience and expertise which WE motorhomers need from time to time.

Good luck with your new motorhome. If you enjoy it half as much as AuntieSandra and I enjoy Our Coral, you'll be LOVING IT!! Wink Cool

PS You'll be pleased to know that 1,248 folk on MHF have Burstners!! You're not alone!! Rolling Eyes

hm, almost a year ago we did the same as you, spur of the moment etc.

Initially it does seem like madness and worrying but thanks to MHF I'm settling down a bit now - I reckon I'll have it licked in a few years Laughing

The most important thing to remember is there are no stupid questions (you may get some stupid answers Laughing ) so if in doubt give a shout we've all been there.

Oooops, yes I meant Burstner.

We have found a safe inside the front storage area without a key or electronic digital code. Safe has GX and B0709 on the label.

Locksmith today couldn't open it and charged me £30 for the pleasure of his company.

Anyone got any ideas before I try another locksmith? These things only cost £60 new I guess.

Hello and welcome,

I think you have already made two great decisions by yourselves, the first being your choice of motorhome, anything starting with “Burst” and ending in “ner” in my opinion is a very good start, and judging from the replies on your post I think you already know the second.

All the best.
Very Happy
