I have had a Silvercrest SL65/12 satellite box connected to my Oyster dish for several years and it has worked perfectly.
Just recently, while in East Germany I find I cannot get UK channels, no BBC or ITV. I wonder if this has to do with recent changes in the way some channels are broadcast.
I have tried scanning but it didn't add these channels. Then I tried deleting the channels I had and scanning again but still no luck.

The last changes to BBC1 and BBC2 were October 2010.
ITV have not changed for a while either.
BBC HD and BBC1HD did change their frequency settings recently, but even then you should still be able to get the non HD BBC channels also.
The most recent BBC changes only affected BBC News Alba and Parliament.

Any suggestions welcome, thanks, Alan.
Perhaps your dish is just too small to receive those channels in that location. kingofsat has reception reports for e germany with 80cm and 1m dishes being required....as going farther east then the signal gets "weaker" so bigger dish is required.
Hi Alan
My Oyster has been playing up as well says it is on Astra 2 but it is not it is on Astra 1.
I then have to use the manuel buttons to put it on Astra 2.
Cheers guys, mine is an 85cm dish I think. I had wondered if we were just too far East. I will find out in a week or so as head into France towards Spain.
Glad to hear about the bike Andy, I think mine is a great toy, any excuse to take a ride on it will do for me, Alan.
