Hi,
Has anyone had to replace the driver's door window motor?

Mine is a 1996 E700, and it just got slower and slower then stopped, fortunately with the window in the up position.

I posted a while ago about the plastic fitting devices which hold the trim panel in place, but when I removed the trim panel, I was faced with an aluminium plate with the motor fixed to it from the "other" side, ie screw heads away from me. It looks a bit daunting with belts and the like.

Any advice (other than taking it to someone else)?

Cheers in advance,

stevecdaly
