We live in Spain and about a year ago thought we might have to return to the UK and as we have two rescue dogs we hatched a plan. If we had a motorhome we could drive back. with the dogs, an live anywere we liked.
So we scanned E-bay and finally found the one, a low mileage selfbuilt Iveco 40/12 1997. I flew over and drove it back, it did not miss a beat, on returning home I discovered the free extra, a full toilet!
As it happened we did not need to return, so what to do. Being us we decided to go on a Desert Detour trip to Morroco!
First time we slept in the van was on the trip! We loved it all. We are hooked.
Now we have to return to the UK for an M.O.T. and we plan a small holiday around this to see friends and family. One of the stops is in St Albans in Hertfordshire and we cannot find a campsite near the city, the only one is too far away from our son, any help where we can stay for one night?

Welcome, I am glad you enjoy your new van.

Can't help you with your query as I don't know the area you are asking about.

One tip though, if you change the title to "Overnight near St. Albans" or similar you might get more replies, Alan.

For one night, can you simply not park outside their house?

No personal experience but how about the CL below? Give them a ring and they may accept you even if you are not a club member - many do,

Or how about this club which has a camp site Smile
Bit pricey though for non members:
•Caravan/Campervan:- £12.00 per night for van, plus £10.00 per night per person
•With electric hook-up, add £3.50 per night
