May i take the opportunity to introduce myself Mick, a production supervisor and Kim , the woman of many talents, anyone who can juggle children and pass a bike test cant be bad..
We live up in yorkshire and have decided that as we have both passed the 40 mark that we should start getting out a bit more..
We are basically looking at buying a motorhome around jan / feb and then having a week around oxfordshire ( Kims county of birth ) and then touring Europe for 2 or 3 weeks in late spring as we have friends / relatives in Austria, Spain and Portugal.
As we are both big bike fans we would firstly love to take in a Moto GP or a W.S.B round in the process.
As i have run a forum myself, i realise that these places can be invaluable to newcomers of a pastime / hobby/ lifestyle and will probably seem like a nosey sponge over the next few weeks, that said, i have a reasonable mechanical, practical aptitude and have a fair grasp on computers, i'm also have an knack of making things work.
So, before this starts to sound like a C.V. i will sign off, just forgive my initial stupid questions for a while.....
We are looking for a 4 - 6 berth motorhome , capable of carrying 2 adults, one teenager or 2 and a 3 year old, something that we could fit a couple of 125cc runaround bikes in would be fantastic but our price range is 30k max.. ..
Any ideas on what models we should be looking for would be appreciated but i appreciated there are issues with storage, laden weight etc as we have looked at a Bessecar E765 and Rimar Koala.
No need to aplogise for "waffling", we all start somewhere. If you intend carrying two bikes, you'll need a van with a decent payload. Many with decent sized garages don't have that payload if want you want to carry the bikes in it. Equally few vans are capable of carrying two 125cc bikes on a rear rack. Although ferry/tunnel crossings will be dearer as a result, a trailer may be the best option. It's your call at the end of the day.
Twin rear-axle vans have better payloads in general.
Good luck with your quest.

Moving on
Welcome. I would say have a good and I mean good look round at as many motorhomes as you can. It's amazing how poor some layouts are when you actually consider 'living' in them!
Also do you want to cook much or just snacks, do you want good shower space, good lounge. etc....
Its the motorhome show at the NEC in a couple of weeks so definitely worth a day or maybe two if you havent been before,if theres something there you like do a bit of interenet searching and see if theres a dealer with a pre registered model of the van you fancy....you can save thousands that way.
Elddis and Swift both make a reasonaby priced 6 berth but not sure with garages, might be worth paying a little bit extra to buy from a dealer close to you in case you have problems, good luck with your search.
Welcome from another Yorkshire soul.
As previous posters have said, check the payload of whatever you look at, and do not believe the salesmen. We have a Gist Phantom on a 416 Mercedes which gives us a very good payload. The layout would not do for you, but when we bought it (2005) they produced a Matterhorn on a 416 which was sold as a 6 berth and I am sure had over a tonne payload.
Welcome to the site from another `Yorkie`.
As has already been mentioned, don`t be too hasty in your decision and have a really good look round first.
Not everyone is suited to the lifestyle so it may be wise to consider the possibility of hiring or buying a used motorhome first.
Whatever you decide I hope you enjoy your travels.
