Hi, we brought a Kampa Rally 260XL, prior to having our omnistor fitted. Height of the awning is for 270 to 290, height of van 275, height to channel on omnistor 245!
Question is, if we were to remove one section of pole, would this work and ensure that it then fits flush to the van? We do like the style of this awning and now need the cheapest way to resolve the height difference problem
However, we don't want to ruin it as it may mean having to sell it on and buying a cheaper one Surprised
Does anyone know if you can use the caravan awnings on a motorhome and if so, would the beading fit direct an omnistor?
Any help/advice will be gratefully received

We have the Kampa Rally 260 Pro (235 - 265) and it fits into the Omnistor rail.

Our Mhome is 235 to the rail so just fits. The padding between the awning and the Mhome has approx 6 inch gap at the top so the Omnistor fits into this. Not as neat as on a caravan but we've had our awning in Scotland and high wind and none of the noise and pulling the mhome about that the Safari room caused.

Sorry cannot comment about removing a section of pole however the canvas would be too long wouldn't it?

Edit

One other point why we chose the Kampa. The first couple of feet on the roof are almost horizontal so the Mhome door can open easily. With the Sunncamp and others similar they slope much quicker. Not a problem if your Omnistor is well above the door.

Do you want to swap!! Laughing It looks very nice, just how I imagined ours would look!
I know the canvas would be too long, but wasn't sure whether or not that would be a major problem if we were to stretch it outwards more when pegging it? Could end up being a bodge up if we did though Sad
