Yes, you are allowed to name the company, but be very careful to post only such factual comments as can be readily verified and substantiated - should the need arise.
That would generally preclude any verbal communications between yourself and the company - unless you hold a recording of such conversations.
Written communications would be a different matter - obviously.
Good luck

There were several threads a few months ago about one MH hire company which seemed to be in difficulties. This was also covered by You and Yours on BBC Radio 4. I am sure a web search would turn that story up.
“Rogue camper vans”
A camper-van rental company featured in a Sunday Times festival guide has ceased trading. Sundrive Hire has left scores of festivalgoers and holidaymakers out of pocket, with little hope of getting their money back. Calls to the company — which traded from “virtual offices” in Shropshire and London, and blamed its demise on “an internet smear campaign” run by angry clients who had lost money — are being handled by a third-party answering service. Victims, many of whom have lost hundreds of pounds, are advised to contact their local Trading Standards office.”

______________________________________________________________ Colin - now enjoying retirement and the freedom offered by our motorhome.
We have had a problem with trying to get money back from a Motorhome Hire company – see thread earlier this year 'Motorhome – fit for purpose?'.
We went the Small Claims Court route after months of correspondence with the Company.
The Small Claims Court procedures also takes a long time to unravel and the Companies defence that was filed was completely at odds with our own version of events.
At this point we reached the conclusion that due to conflicting versions of the events that happened before, during and after our Hire period we had minimal chance of convincing a Court of our case.
The initial sum involved was £360, not a huge figure but in our eyes enough to request back from the Company, and after speaking with people who had a greater knowledge of the Law than ourselves decided to abort the Claim.
We don't regret trying to get our money refunded but it does take up a lot of time, effort and stress levels are tested from time to time.
I would advise going through the Small Court if you're not getting any replies and satisfaction from the Company you are in dispute with but don't expect it to solve anything in the short term and may give you a few sleepless nights along the way.
Charges in the Small Claim Court vary depending on the amount of money you are claiming and all steps of the Claim are explained in the bundle of forms issued by your local Court.
If you are claiming against the firm mentioned earlier in this thread then you may have to wait a considerable time as they are apparently being investigated by the Metropolitan Police.
A visit to your Local Trading Standards office is also a good idea.
Best of luck.
The good news, from our point of view, is that we found, used for a fortnight in France this Summer and would recommend a Motorhome Hire company that were more professional, efficient, helpful and reliable than the one used previously.

since owning our 'home we have hired it our twice. Both time to be taken to Glastonbury. first time, I had made a few enquiries with various rental companies, but not made a committment. One called us, M for Motorhomes, as Glastonbury is THE time of the year, and they'd had a breakdown or something. We rented to a lovely brother & sister, no problems.
Confidence up, I made further enquiries next year -couldn't find M for motorhomes, so signed up with another company. There was strong communication that we were responsible for putting our availability on their website - for obvious reasons. When I went to do this I discovered a booking on my webpage. My discovery happened within a week of the booking (Glastonbury), and I had not been notified. Next thing the hirer contacted me, monday of the week that he wanted my van on the thursday. So I contacted the company, very apologetic, some story about late booking due to another owner having sold his van. When our hirer turned up, I mentioned this to him ( at this stage I still hadn't received his fee, altho i had been assured it would arrive, cheque having been posted monday) he said that he had known for 5/6 weeks that his van of choice wasn't available, and that he would be getting mine! He went on to say that virtually the same thing had happened to him last year, with the same company. ( The company had been assuring me that they 'knew' the hirer and had confidnece in him as a previous client). They hadn't been able to furnish him with the vehicle he originally chose from the website. I was cross, dueto the tone of their material I was diligent about the hire availability status of our'home. But they clearly didn't see their responsibility in return. I may sound petty, but this is a 'professional' company!!
The cheque did not arriv ontime, and when it arrived it was not dated monday (as promised), but after that date. i had telephoned before I got the cheque, and had asked for a bank transfer -which they did do, and i destroyed the cheque.
Next problem, van arrived back damaged. Hirer knew it was damaged, but he hadn't realised the extent. I called the company for advice, and was reassured that it would be ' a couple of hundred' to fix, and that wouldn't relaease the deposit until I instructed them, to be honest, I sympathised with the hirer, but it was damaged on their watch. The hire company seemed to me to be on the side of the hirer. They said that emails were sent, which I never recieved -this doesn't happen with my accountant for instance, if he sends an emaiL, I get it, so i really didn't believe these people.
The hirer tried to get cheaper quotes, and he did, but which would have caused me great inconvenience and cost. I hung out for my preferred supplier. The hirer eventually secured a snall discount from him, and the hire company paid me the money.
I did post on here at the time. i was asked which company it is. i know that they are a trade member. I would discuss it privately, but not publically on the forum. During the episode, I was worried that the hire company would not support me, and didn't feel going 'public' would be helpful. It feels quite a dangerous thing to do. And this is the problem, really, my issue turned out ok, but it felt like that I was very lucky. This should not have ben my experience, I truly feel the hire company should be on my side when there is evidence of damage -which the hirer was fine about and freely admitted.
Nothing bad actually happened, but I do not have confidence that things would be ok another time. I will not be hiring out via this company again.
