Just had an e-mail from Conrad Anderson regarding an update to the dome;-

''We have recently been informed by SES Astra that they are changing some transponder settings on the UK TV Satellite grouping. The technical guys at KVH Tracvison have told us that this may affect the search and locking on facility on Tracvision satellite dome systems.

We have had very few reports of affected customers, but they are those watching SKY Sports 1 HD, BBC News and BBC Parliament.

The solution for this issue is a quick job but will require you to bring your system back to us for a settings change.

Transponder Settings change - £20

Please note this problem is not covered under warranty as it is not a manufacturing fault with the product. The transponder reorganisation is part of routine maintenance and satellite lifecycle scheduling by AstraSES, the satellite operator.''

I do watch sky sports but not in HD,never watch BBC News or BBC Parliament,I am wondering if it is worth getting the update done as the way I read I shouldn't be affected-thoughts anyone ?

Hi Steve, I wouldn't bother unless you have a problem.

The process can be done at anytime in the future, so it's not as if you'll miss your opportunity

Hi Eddie

Do you think I'll need to take my Alden system back to the installer? I've not noticed any problems yet, so maybe wait until it's bust before I get it fixed??

He does have exceedingly nice chocolate drinks (the installer, that is Wink ) and his campsite is as good as any we have been to! Laughing Laughing Laughing
