Hello,
We're about to take delivery of an Auto-sleepers Stratford having previously owned a VW T5 Beckenham campervan for 4 years & currently, a VW T5.1 California 4Motion (which I'll miss greatly but we've decided we need better onboard facilities).

I'm hoping for trouble free ownership of the new Stratford but as is usual when doing a bit of research on a new vehicle, forums like this highlight problems that other owners experience with their motorhomes. (I spent many an hour on a VW forum discussing various problems with my first T5 campervan!)

I've already reassured myself that the water ingress in the engine bay is now cured on these vehicles & I assume that a 2011 Peugeot Boxer 120bhp has had all the upgraded components fitted during manufacture to address the reversing up a slope judder issue? It would be nice if someone on here can quickly confirm this though.

On the conversion side, currently my only confusion concerns whether both the vehicle battery and the habitation battery charge when hooked up to the mains as it does with our California. Can anyone advise whether this is the case with a new Auto-sleeper?

Looking forward to October the 14th when we take delivery.

A.

welcome to MHF,I can only suggest that you check with the dealer or direct to autosleeper about the charging question.
hope you have many happy miles with your new motorhome.
by the way have you looked at our handover list, which helps you to not forget things to check out on handover.
