Hi,

We have just purchased a Talbot Express Eldis Autoquest 270 1993
does anyone know if the cam belt is chain driven or not

our current Van a Talbot Harmony 1991 is chain driven.

just need to know if we need to get it changed, the van has done just under 41,000 miles

Another thread this week has been on the same topic.
It is not a chain and you should get it replaced, the factory life is 5 years I believe if we are talking about the 2.5 engine.

hi,

if you need advice, mark at cm autos at lancaster,just up the road from you, will be happy to talk you through options,we,ve used them now for several quite big jobs, and found them really easy to talk to, no looking for the most expensive option, but going though all,and then advising what they would do, and surprise.....not always as much as we had expected to pay.

and the nice thing,even though i,m a woman,they explain to both of us equally, so many garages etc tend to look over my head and talk to bernard,very annoying........rant over.
