Following a roof window leak on to my laptop I have had a new hard drive installed Very Happy

I have lost Office but have the Works suite. Does this mean I will not be able to read word documents.

I used to use Internet Explorer but am able to access my e-mails via Yahoo.

Any advice?

Sorry to hear of your mishap!

I'd download Open Office, which gives a suite of programs similar to Word, Excel, etc. but is absolutely free.

It will open Word docs and save docs in Word format if you want (same for Excel and Powerpoint, I believe).

I'd replace IE with Chrome, too.

Just my opinion - hope it's of use!

Steve

I believe a version of word comes as standard with Works Suite so you should be ok.

Mozilla Thunderbird is an excellent email program much better than IE and its free if your looking to install an email client. Link:--

I've used it for years now and their Firefox web browser (also free)

if you've still got the microsoft codes for Office, you can download it and use the codes.

Still sat here in front of the computer - it may be in the office, or on the laptop if I manage to get away from the office.

As far as I know, the only motorhoming Oxford United supporter in Bognor.
