I'm no fan of potato crisps but the other day I chanced a purchase of some Mixed Vegetable Crisps from Lidl.

Sweet potato, parsnip, beetroot and, I think, maybe carrot - very tasty indeed.

However, and there's always a "however" - if you're on a diet then maybe these should be avoided as the Kcal and fat content of one packet will supply you with your 12 months allowance. Smile

Hi

I think we bought some of those in Italy earlier in the year - the beetroot was lovely but as you say the calorie count is horrendous. I have been unable to find them in the UK, could you scan the packet or maybe write the eact product name, price and barcode?

Cheers

Russell

Sorry Russell - packet already binned.
I bought them somewhere down Dorset way a couple of weeks ago so they're definitely available here.

No doubt some MHFer has some in their cupboard?

Thanks Tony

The Italian ones, in an English wrapper though, were 1 euro and it was a large bag - maybe 250 grammes?

Is that the sort you have already eaten? Very Happy

Russell

Well it was a "biggish" bag - bigger than a normal Smiths Crisp bag - I seem to remember 99p

Tyrells are a popular brand of these. 490kcal/100g. Many ordinary potato crisps are more than this.
