I was looking at the map last night and found that it covers more than just Europe... there was a traffic jam in Honolulu

I just clicked on yr link and the slightly scary thing is that it immediately, without input from me, showed the map of our local area in Poland. However, it was not centred on the house, so maybe it is picking up on 'phone area code from the ADSL line?
It will have utilised the geo information that is contained in your IP number...every computer connected to the internet is identified by an IP number ...yours will have given away an approximate location for you...maybe the nearest large town where your ISP has a connection to the internet.
So nothing to worry about...if you want to check this stuff out for yourself go to Google and search : whats my ip
It will tell you all that it knows about your connection to the internet.

I used to use it then it went down "for improvements" (yeah right) and have not used it since as I forgot about it. It is a goody and well worth a check before a journey although in effect, the same info is on my TT GO Live. I think TT beats every satnav in the traffic stakes but sadly not on some other features
