Hi

I get my new motorhome on Friday, (all being well) and am trying to get a step ahead with the connectors for the SKY box etc.

Coming out of the back of the SKY box are two connections called RF out 1 and RF out 2. They look to require push on type connections - like the cable used to for connecting a TV to an aerial point in the house. However, the factory fitted leads on the new van that run from the "SKY cupboard area" to the TV points are the type that is more like a needle or a pin through the centre.

Is there an adaptor I can get or is there a major headache looming with re-wiring to the TV points etc.

Here is a pic of the back of the SKY box and also a pic of the cables already in place on the new van. These cables run to the two TV point

The pic of the wires shows three wires. The two with the blue tape on are the wires that carry the signal to the TV points. The other one is pre-wiring for a free standing satellite dish outside etc, so that one can be ignored.

Cheers

Russell

Hi

Thanks for the link but I can't open it! Are you able to re-check it please?

Might be the connection (pardon the pun) at my end

Russell

Worked for me. Try opening up Maplin.co.uk and then search for "coax socket to f socket adaptor"
or try this link

My Sky box is connected with one connection (an F connector I believe) to the appropriate fitting on the back of the Sky box and the Scart lead to the TV.

You can use the coax connections but I think that is only when you have no scart connection. Not sure on that one but mine works fine as described. Not HD though.
