Friend has gone and got the above virus on his computer. It can connect to the net but Explorer,systems help ect will open so unable to download a fix. I tried to re install windows but won't run the install wizard. Any help anybody please.

Thanks camallison but you need to download from the net for the fix. As I said can to the net but the virus won't let him open any explorer so unable to access any download fix.

Download it onto a pen drive with another computer, then transfer it to the sick computer and run it from there. Simples* It worked for me when I cleaned up my daughter's PC.
