I have been reading all (most) of the solar panel topics and cannot find the answer to this question.

I have an Autosleeper Nuevo which does not have a complicated e.g.Sargent system. There is a fairly simple 12v control panel allowing manual selection of habitation or vehicle battery charging by the mains charger. There is a split relay charging system from the engine alternator - probably not relevant here, though the 12v system (excluding the fridge) is off when the engine is running.

My question is where can I connect the output from the solar panel regulator? Does it have to be connected directly to the leisure battery by a dedicated twin cable?

Can I instead - to avoid finding a route from the roof to the leisure battery under the drivers seat - link into a suitable point in the 12v system, e.g. the output from the mains charger (which could probably allow selection of solar charging of either battery), or the 12v positive input to the panel controlling the 12v system?

Any suggestions Question
