Hi,
I am downloading some of the links from the current list of downloads on the MHF. .Problem is once I have downloaded the ones I require I cannot open them (Box states;- an unnamed file contains an incorrect schema) .How do I get round this problem .
Thanks Mags.
i,ll explain a bit more, i,m trying to download onto my home computor a lot of the downloads so that i can then put them onto a flash drive to take with us so that, for instance when we are in spain i can put the lpg spots up and then take them off when we move to another country. we,ve only got a netbook in the van so want to keep as much info on flashdrives as possible.
when we downloaded some of the list,s we found that the folowing opened,
angling sports and fishing [you can tell bernard,s hobby]
areedisos altalia
lpg spain
wouldent open
acsi 2011
2011 board atlas latest
aldi supermarkets europe
france shops
german lakes2010
liyd stores whole europe
dont know what we are doing wrong,as some just open as soon as you click open, and some just bring different messages up.
we are doing something not right, but dont know what.
The downloads you seem to be having a problem with need to be opened with a specific progam
I have just dowloaded the German lakes and the Aldi supermarkets to my desktop. They are both a ".axe file" As soon as I clicked on them they opened with Microsoft Autoroute.
The fishing download is a "ov2" file which can be loaded into a Tomtom
If you want to convert files to a different format try here
thanks for your help, but somewhere along the way it,s not working,we,ve managed to download loads onto a flashdrive,we can open the flashdrive and see all the ones we,ve downloaded, but can then only open 2 of them,so we,ve moved them along, but not a lot of use if we cant see them..........,
we tried downloading things to help us open files, but must be doing that wrong as well,it,s probably only something as stupid as left click instead of right click [off the subject in hand ,i,ve never been able to use spellcheck, and just now bernard, leaned over and said right click, and hurray i can now use spellcheck......] so i feel it,s as stupid what we,re doing.
