Just thought do you mean iPAD? The tablet computer or an ipod (very small portable music player, some of which have wifi access)?

Hi friendly posters, yes I think it's the i-pad that I mean (the one with about a 6" screen. Info is hard to come by in this neck of the woods. So, back to the beginning-------which is best for touring??.

both good but different functions:-

ipad - instant on
restricted to approved applications, no usb port to connect to camera etc
netbook
no touch screen - takes a while to boot. better functionality - able to connect to any usb device, camera, printer etc.

I would take a netbook if I had to take one - but then I have an iphone in lieu of the ipad
