I'm a newbie to the world of Motorhomes and picked up my first one a month ago - I absolutely love it!
Kitting out the MH with TV etc I thought I would share my experience.
Having looked all over at dedicated units and also standard home use I eventually purchased a LOGIK L22LDVB11 22" Full HD LED TV with Built-in DVD player from Currys for £139.00.
I'm delighted with the picture quality from just my Status 315. One major plus is that it is powered by an external PSU delivering 12V!. I've just hooked it up to 12v supply and it is great. Also being LED technology the power consumption is negligible.
Built in Freeview and DVD player and Full HD, the picture is excellent.

Glenn,
Pleased to hear your comments, we spent a lot of time developing it .

I have a similar TV from Comet and find it sometimes starts up in B&W only. It developed this habit at about the 13th month of ownership of course! Turning it off and on eventually persuades it to display colour.
It is the same tv as the OP started this thread with. It is 12V input and contrary to the "experts" there is no need for a stablised 12v adapter.
I have been using a pre-production prototype for over a year and do not want to change it, but will have to soon for a 2012 model.

Hi Glenn - this is interesting to me as we need to update ours from the mess that is currently masquerading as a tv unit! Is yours in a TV cabinet? Have you mounted it so it can be swung out for viewing and then put away after use? What is a Status 315 - is that the flattish thing on the roof with extending aerials at each side? Cheers Barry
I have it mounted on an extended arm with the TV stand fitted and sitting on a cabinet in the MH.
The extended arm enables easy release to put away the TV if required and is adjustable for different viewing angles, The arm is fairly rigid and thus keeps the TV in place while driving. I will look to take some photographs next weekend when I pick the MH up for another excursion.
The Status 315 is the 'Flying Saucer' omnidirectional type aerial. The 315 is the basic unit which came with the MH.
Its got varying reviews from others on this forum. Im evaluating how it performs but I managed to get 80 TV and 20 radio channels at Cromford Mill over the weekend. Cromford Mill being in a valley I was pleasantly surprised by the aerial's performance. With the recent Digital switchover the signal strength should have improved from transmitters but this will be location specific.
