Cool
Hi people we are new to this blog.
We own a 1993 Hino RainBow motor home 7m long.
Need a class 2 license to drive.
My wife and I both hold this current class but we have been taken back by the appearance of the Swift m/home ie the bedding / lounge kitchen etc plus the fact you only need a car license to drive these vechiles.
A slight concern we can find with the Swift is the water carrying compacacity, must admit we are used to bigger volumes of water as we freedom camp a lot , we do wonder how other owners of this vechile fair.

Any way we are packing up for a break at christmas so HO-Ho to you all.

Hi BJ

Welcome to MHF, note you are in NZ, here in the UK its raining and windy leading in to winter.

Reference your water capacity we generally carry around 20 gallons of fresh water and a further 4 Galls for drinking, that's OK for UK touring.

Hope that helps

Best Regards
Broom

Welcome to the site, BJ.

There are quite a few European motorhomes with 100L freshwater tanks. There are quite a few in the sub 3500kgs category that also have a reasonable payload capacity. There are many that don't and are on their limit with just the one passenger and a few belongings.

If you come this way, a visit to the Dusseldorf Salon in Germany in late August would give you the chance to see the offerings from all the manufacturers.

Website for the past show 2011 gives some idea:

thanks for you input.
Here in NZ to go freedom camping we have to have a self containment cert.
That is we have to have enough fresh water for 3 days so many Litres per person I think it's around 4L but you have to allow washing dishes / drinking / showering etc.
We hold 140 L with a waste of 184 L not including toilet.
Find that after 4 days staying at one place you need to replace and reload.
We are also subject to how many people can stay at night. We hold 4 on that score so if some rafts up and stays in a tent beside us they come under our self containment.

A little information

Cheers BJ
