Hi all, thanks for all the info it is all being logged down, ( we have been away for w/end) my m/h is vehicle tax exempt (answer to peedee) and the reply from trond gives the information i needed as regard to toll concessions (there are none). As regard to the "wild camping" i think i may have been mis-understood, we are not planning too do this all the time, we where a little concerned ( because of distances) that if we got somewhere and it was to late to travel further or too far from a campsite would we be allowed to park (not camp) for the night and the general consensus is that we will be ok to stay overnight for sleeping. We are really looking forward now to planning the trip with the help of information gathered from all at mhf and we hope we will run into (not literally) some of you along the way.
Taken onboard the info on the need for good brakes for descents of the mountains as we encountered this problem when touring switzerland and austria many years ago.

had the best holiday we've ever had last July touring norway.

Driving northwards from Bergen was absolutely wonderful as the mountains steadily got taller and the scenery more beautiful until we got into true fjord country which was lovely. Up into the snowy heights near Stryn we had snowball fights and got a sun tan at the same time Cool

Hope you have as good a trip as us - take tons of film/memory, wherever you point your camera will be a great photo!

Hi beagle, it sounds as though you had a great trip and we are looking forward to ours, any tips on your route would help us plan our trip as there are so many places too see and we have only 1 month, did you get as far as the cape nord Question if all goes well we will plan a return trip next year for a much longer period. we have bought a dvd camcorder and are planning to take lots and lots of disc's and loads of pictures.

regards

Bob
