Just posted a reply to the above and noticed I posted in the Ask a Trader forum hench no one other than a trader can reply.Tried to reply to own post and couldnt.
Does that mean a trader can offer an opinion or comment and the general members cant discuss it without opening a seperate post as I have done here.

Yes Ken, I just sent you a PM to that effect and suggested you bring it up here. If it's wrong, which seems highly probable, it needs correcting, Alan.

That Camos 40 Dome is bl**dy good think I will get rid of my 2 metre dish in the garden and buy 2 of these one for the house and one for the van.

Seems domes are the in thing at the moment buy with care if you want to watch telly in Europe and not just look smooth on sites.

Brian,

Totally agree with you. I have a 2.4 metre dish in the garden of my house in Javea and even then I can't receive BBC2 after about 4pm.

The Oyster dish on my motorhome can't pick up anything there and I think these satellite footprints need to be viewed with a certain amount of scepticism.

Try using BBC2 Wales or BBC Northern Ireland.
They are on better received frequencies (vertical lows) than BBC 2 England (horizontal low), and have been since Oct 2010.

Almost the same programmes with a few regional changes.

I would expect (or know giving I have many clients in Javea) a decent 2.4m dish to get BBC2 until at least 6pm in Javea - assuming better weather than today, a good dish that is not warped, and has a good clear line of sight.
