Nuke,
Why are some of the Campsite names blank or, in one case, just 'L' (this one is probably due to the apostrophe in the name)?

Hi Bill

Annoying isn't it? Laughing

It's a known bug that's crept in somewhere along the line and is on Nukes (rather long) "to do" list. I think it's something to do with the name being missing on reviews that are submitted using the iPhone or USB app. He'll no doubt get around to it in due course.

In the meantime, if you want to read the review, just "double click" on the space where the campsite name should be and it'll take you straight to the review.

Hi

but that does not work for me in IE9 Wink if it works for you it must be because you use Firefox ( I think Rolling Eyes )

but what is interesting ( as Bill has mentioned) is that on Bill's review that is showing in the list as just an L the link does work and that must be a clue as to what is happening in the usb stick as the site is L'Herbaudiere and the ' is obviously affecting what the USB stick is sending back to the site when the review is uploaded.

No, the double click on the white space doesn't work for me either (also using IE9) however it's not a serious problem. I only flagged this as I'm a bit of a pedant when it comes to bugs in software!

There are clearly several problems relating to the transfer of new campsite entries from the USB system to the main database - and then back into the database on the USB stick. Hopefully Nuke will get his developer to resolve them soon Wink

Now come on Mike, you know very well that I don't have any truck with that Microsoft stuff. Laughing
Yes, lifelong devotee of Firefox I am, no problems using Firefox as usual. Wink

I believe that developers are working on bugs affecting the apps ATM Bill.

Thanks Ken - that's good news. I think the campsite database is a significant asset to MHF. The last release of the USB version was a great improvement and it will be even better when the next set of bugs are ironed out.
Thanks,
Bill
