Is that what you meant?

I just went to the bottom of the message and where it says Add an attachment I selected Browse and then found the file on my computer.

Or do you mean adding it to a PM?

No, you add just as you would for a photo. Open up the new topic or reply window and put some text in the text box. Below add the pdf file by browsing for it, attaching it and then submitting it.
