Down here in the van in the Algarve, Mark at Road Pro told me that I would probably get BBC1 by tuning into BBC Scotland. And he was dead right!

The question now is are there any alternative ITV stations such as ITV Scotland etc etc that may work down here?

I am running a Kathrein 910 dish with integral Kathrein receiver. R-P set me up on Astra 28.2 which works fine in France but not a peep in Spain or Portugal using the usual channels.

(I have only just tried BBC Scotland, because I had forgotten Mark's suggestion).

Any ideas?

Many thanks, John

the very best person to ask is Jon, pcandsatguy he'll turn up soon and reply, or just go to his site www.pcandsatguy.com and email him from there..... spose i could look up the info for you as well, but all my tech info is in my truck and its raining here at home, cold wet and snow is on its way Sad

Ah ha you have a Cat 910 like me..... if you use the channel search on astra 28 it will show you all the channels and just flick throu them one by one untill you see a itv channel come up on the tv picture next to the search

Does BBC Scotland use a different "beam" then? Are you using a SKY box with your Kathrein receiver or just the receiver itself?

Russell

I don't know, Russell. I am not in the van at the moment. I am in a friend's house for the evening.

Hi John, i've had a bit of a look and I think if you look for ITV1 regions: Anglia West, Central SW, Meridian North, Meridian SE, Tyne Tees South, Yorkshire East, they are not on the astra D so you might like to try them directley off your cat 910 hope that helps

Thanks a bunch Clive 1821 for taking the trouble when you said the weather was lousy and you didn't fancy going outside.
