I admit it - I'm an addict Smile

I just love the stuff. Most supermarkets sell it in little bottles around 150ml but they're not cheap. I know there's more choice in the specialist shops in the cities but we're in the sticks.

I found a recipe and made some myself but it took so long, left so many pots to clean and I ended up with just a small bottle of the stuff (quite nice).

Then, one day I was in Sainsburys - the small specialist food shelf - Sweet Chilli Sauce, 725ml for £2.15.

It's really good, made in Thailand and almost a full wine bottle size for that price.
Long "eat by" - 18 months, so I now have a few bottles in the store. These supermarkets have a habit of taking my favourite things off the shelf!

And, if you like your spicy dressing for summer BBQs, try chopping up some Pepperdews and mixing with some of this sauce mmmmmmm Smile can't wait Very Happy

Harking back to my old days on the oil tankers we used to get Linghams sweet chilli sauce out around Aisa (made in Malaysia).

Yummy stuff.

You can buy it over here now in quite a lot of places. A decent bottle size but not wine bottle, with the way I go at it it always disappears too quickly.

We're off in January on our annual migration to South Africa.

At one of the local hotel/restaurants there the chef hails from Pakistan and does THE most flavoursome lamb curry you could ever imagine.

Mmmmmmmm num num num mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I wonder why I always come back around a stone heavier than when I went Confused

Nothing to do with the curries, eisbeins, ribs, steaks, boboties, prawns etc - they also produce a very quaffable range of reds. Very Happy

Have a great trip.

I'm not sure about trying the local wine in India. Looking forward to everything else though.
