I only use Facebook, and Friends Reunited, as places where I can sometimes contact people for my family tree research.

I always use BT disposable email addresses for sites like those.

I've been registered with Facebook for about 3 years without any issues.

Suddenly, this week, I've started receiving spam, on-line gambling emails addressed to me at my Facebook email address.

Nobody else has that address.

Not a problem really, I just change my Facebook address to a different disposable one.

That's why I use them.

Just posted for info.

Well I for one thank you Tony.
I made the mistake of signing up to Facebook some time ago and was deluged with invites and junk.
It took me ages to navigate through all the personal and account pages to opt out of everything.

It's a Virus....!!!!

I keep a hotmail account just for the self same reason.

I go into it once a month, select all mail in the inbox and delete.

Home address and my original yahoo address very clean thankyou very much
