I had seen that but it doesn't say whether or not one can use a micro sim.
In the Huawei instructions it states only a standard sim.
Kind regards
Alshymer
I've got one and I put the micro sim card out of my I pad in it.
First of all by using sellotape to hold it in position but found it difficult to get correct contacts to line up.
So ended up getting an adaptor of evil bay for about a quid.
Hope this helps.
hi just bought a huawei e586,just cannected to my computor, and its asking for a password ,it says username is admin, but i cannot find a password, any help would be appreciated,
regards tony
Yes, it is definately a STANDARD SIM. I know this because I ordered a Sim Cutter and chopped the standard SIM card before opening and looking at the MIFI Device, only to discover it is a standard SIM after all
You can buy a SIM Adaptor from the Pound Shop, I think you get 4 in a pack, why you would need 4 I don't know.
Your micro SIM just slips inside the adaptor to make a standard SIM works well.
I also found out that if you have a standard SIM and want a micro SIM, Vodaphone are happy to change it for free if you pop into any store.
I must say I'm very impressed with it. We get 1Mb download speed where we live and 700k upload, the unit reports we are only on 3G.
I'm happy with that, as I expected no signal. The unit is capable of up to 21Mb download in some areas.
The unit is very slick, small, light and around 10mm thick.
It was very very easy to get working, lob in the SIM card [FULL SIZE] log on from computer and viola.. working straight from the box.
I bought the unit it came with a 3Gb sim.
The top up's are £20/25 for 3Gb or 3 month whatever comes first.
However... I bought the SIM cards on amazon for £11.15 each, cheaper to have more sims than to top up.
There is also a counter showing how many megs you have used.
The charging is a power pack to a USB cable, so will be able to use the 12v USB charger, all being well.
